Magic: the Gathering Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012

Magic the Gathering has been around for a long time, but I didn't really hear about it until PlayStation store had it for free in their online store.
This is one of these games where you are usually collecting cards, build your own deck and compete against others. However, this game is a virtual game, so there's no need to pay for cards; you simply unlock them while playing.

When I bought the game, I was given a code that I could redeem at places where they sell real versions of these cards. I have yet to pick it up, because there are no such places nearby. It was, however, quite surprising that they actually gave you this for purchasing the game; after all, the game wasn't that expensive. It seems like their goal is to get more people playing it, not only virtually but also compete in real competitions, meet friends and explore more of their cards.
The game, Magic the Gathering Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012, is available on Steam, PlayStation 3 as well as XBox 360.

If I were to rate this game overall, I would say it is very interesting, and an amazing concept. That they actually give you a free deck of cards is an awesome thing, and the game is about 9Euros (on steam). I would give it an 8/10, but that's my personal rating of the game because I found it easy to learn, but might be boring after playing for a long time. It is a very good game to play whenever you feel like, taking a break from you work, and so on.
